Player Ratings: Real Madrid 6-1 Real Betis

Real Madrid put in a stunning performance to thrash Real Betis and Goal.com was on hand to rate all the players on show.

REAL MADRID

Casillas 5.0
- Had very little to do all match but made an absolute howler when he passed straight to Ricardo Oliveira, and was very lucky not to concede from the chance that followed.

Ramos 7.0 - A very good performance from the right-back who as usual got forward on plenty of occasions and also put in some great tackles at the back. Grabbed a goal with a smart run at the back-post too, and overall it was a good display.

Cannavaro 6.5 - Hardly had anything to do at the back and was taken off at half-time.

Pepe 7.0 - Like most of the defenders he looked very solid all game and made some key tackles to stop Betis in the first-half.

Heinze 6.5 - Always prone to some clumsy challenges and did make a few, one which earned him a booking, but put in a reasonably good display.

Lassana Diarra 7.5
- A key player in the middle of the pitch; made tackles, created chances and seemed to be helping out in both attack and defence.

Gago 6.5 - Not as much of an impact as Diarra but the Argentine held things together well in midfield and picked out a few good passes throughout the match.

Higuain 7.0 - Got Real Madrid off to the perfect start with a very well taken goal early on and always looked a threat with his direct running and passing.

Marcelo 6.5 - Followed on from a good performance against Sporting Gijon last weekend with another one here, the only criticism would be that even though he was involved in the play a lot, he wasted possession and chances too often.

Raul 8.0 - Two goals of the absolute highest quality, and two very different ones as well. The first was a sublime first-time shot from outside the area and the second was a moment of genius as he flicked over Ricardo from a tight angle. Also involved in plenty of the moves in the first-half and got an assist to his name.

Huntelaar 8.0 - Is starting to find some form after a slow start at the club and today he made it three goals in two matches, with a brace in the first-half. Neither was particularly difficult but the fact he is getting in the right place at the right time shows that he is starting to settle at Madrid and he could be a weapon for them this season.

SUBS

Robben 6.0
- Missed a great chance to score in the second-half when he was played through, but apart from that did not have much impact as Madrid took their foot off the gas.

Sneijder 6.0 - Hardly any impact at all.

Guti 6.5 - His first game of the year and he threaded some nice passes around to remind the fans what they have been missing.

REAL BETIS

Ricardo 4.5
- Is prone to making errors in goal and after putting in such a great performance against Barcelona last week, it was a shame he was poor tonight. Made some poor punches and also flapped at a few balls that he really didn't need to even come for.

Nelson 5.5 - Was brilliant against Sevilla two weeks ago, but just didn't get going tonight and was given a tough time in defence.

Melli 4.5 - Dragged all over the place in the first-half and really couldn't get to grips with the movement from the Madrid strikers.

Arzu 5.0 - The more experienced of the two centre-backs but like his partner, he went missing far too often and lost challenges that he should have won.

Vega 5.0 - Beaten way too many times down the flank and even though he did put some good tackles in, he was not sharp enough to deal with the Madrid front men.

Emana 5.5 - Battled really hard in midfield but just came up against a player at the top of his game in Diarra and couldn't match him for most of the game.

Juande 5.0 - Not strong enough to compete with the Real Madrid midfield and was dominated for most of the match.

Aurelio 5.0 - Tried his best to cover the defence and get forward, but once his side went behind he looked unsure what he should be doing and ending up not being particularly effective.

Damia 5.0 - Had a great chance to score early on but couldn't take it and then after that he drifted out of the match and didn't receive the ball enough.

Gonzalez 4.5 - Didn't have any luck against Sergio Ramos at all and was not involved in the game as much as his coach would have wanted.

Oliveira 6.0 - Scored the only goal for Betis with a brilliant strike but he also missed a superb chance to bring them right back into the match at 3-1 when Casillas gifted him a pass outside the box.

SUBS

Monzon 6.0 - Didn't change the match at all.

Rivera 6.0 - Came on late.

Juanma 6.0 - No impact.
