Zanetti Tells Balotelli: Do What Mourinho Says!
Inter's Argentine skipper has warned his young team-mate that his immense potential could go to waste if he doesn't pay more attention to his coach...
Inter defender Javier Zanetti is on Jose Mourinho’s side with regards to young attacker Mario Balotelli, who has been criticised by the Portuguese coach for his recent performances.
Zanetti went on to say that Balotelli could eventually become a great player - if he follows what Mourinho says.
“Mario has technical and physical qualities which are out of the norm,” declared the Inter captain to the Gazzetta dello Sport. “He has a world-class potential and would be bad to waste so much talent.
“He must understand that Mourinho’s words are full of affection and not to kill him off. The coach has just one objective: to improve him and take him to the highest possible level, because this is also the interest of the squad and club.
“It’s only with work that you emerge in today’s football and at 18 years of age you cannot allow yourself attitudes of a player who just arrived.
“What is certain is that at Inter there are many examples to follow.”
Balotelli caught the eye of the Italian football world last season as he put on some impressive displays during Serie A and Coppa Italia.
